This past friday was Chinese New Year, so happy year of the horse!
For me, however, 2014 is shaping up to be the year of the album. Even though it's just a couple days into February, this year has already dropped two albums into my life. The Appleseed Collective released Young Love at the Ann Arbor Folk Festival and Ornâmatik released our debut CD few weeks earlier at the Zlatne Uste Golden Festival in Brooklyn. I'm very proud to be a part of both of these projects and I think the albums are a great representation of how much fun we have.
BUT 2014 isn't done yet---There's a bluegrass album on the way from Mark Lavengood, a jazz album from the Marcus Elliot Quartet, and who knows what else...... stay tuned.
